Jason Zhan Jia is a web savvy digital native with an extensive experience in the digital marketing communications industry in China. He is widely recognized as an expert in Chinese social media, consumer-generated media (CGM), Internet Word of Mouth (iWOM), digital marketing, viral marketing, interactive communications, online research & market intelligence, China Internet trends & culture, and youth digital lifestyle.

Jason is the founder and director of VITAMINE, a boutique social media agency which helps global and Asian brands to strategize, create, implement, and measure interactive and influential digital communications across Social / Location / Mobile platforms in China. VITAMINE’s proud clients including world industry leaders like The North Face, Citibank, Johnson’s Baby, Michael Kors, L’Oreal, Asahi Beer, and Hang Lung Properties.

Before founding his own agency, Jason had accumulated a diverse experience on social media across different marketing disciplines, including research analytics, marketing advertising, and PR communication.

  • 2010 – 2011 | He was most recently the China Digital Lead of global independent PR agency Waggener Edstrom, where he served Pirelli, Chloé, L’Oreal, Abbott, GE Healthcare, and Microsoft.
  • 2009 – 2010 | Prior to that, he co-led the social influence marketing practice and drove the strategic planning initiatives for Razorfish China, where he managed a portfolio of assignments including Nike, Dior, Microsoft, and Autodesk.
  • 2005 – 2009 | Earlier, he worked as research and consulting project manager for blue chip brands like Intel, Apple, HP, Nokia, IBM, and SAP at CIC, an industry-pioneering social media research and consulting agency in China.

Jason holds a Bachelor Degree (with Honors) from Staffordshire University, where he majored in Business Administration.
